CMS Administrative Changes for the 2020-21 School Year

A message from CMS

Dear Cupertino Middle School Community,

Following a wonderful year here at Cupertino Middle School, this will be my last year here at CMS. It is truly overwhelming and with profound emotion that I write these words. But, I leave with the comfort knowing I leave your collective talent in wonderful hands. We are fortunate to have such a caring and capable leader to facilitate everyone’s success. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Jean Wang into her new position as Principal of Cupertino Middle School. Ms. Wang is not an unfamiliar face to the community, as she most recently served as my assistant principal. She will continue to bring her tireless energy and support that makes CMS so very special. More than anything, she is a true believer in the success of students and the stories of experience the faculty and staff have built. She understands there is more to do and brings more than 15 years of experience in various roles within the District.

I will look back with so much pride. All of you are generations of knowledge, the curators, and crusaders that define the future of our culture. Your commitment to learning strengthened my decision to accept another role within the District. The time I have been fortunate to spend working with people so spectacularly talented is the reason I chose to accept the offer to serve as Principal of Meyerholz Elementary School. Central to my leadership philosophy is to be unstoppably optimistic as it is a blessing that I hope you share and will continue to share with me moving forward.

Warmly,

Jennifer Lashier, Ed.D

Principal, Cupertino Middle School
